Professional Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement
The Professional Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement is a qualification designed for people wishing to assess their own training.
This programme is also excellent as a refresher for those coming back into education or for people who are responsible for ensuring that the teaching team is working effectively and consistently.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: You must hold a recognised qualification in the discipline you will be assessing, and have access to a training provider offering that qualification so that you can fulfil the assessment evidence requirements of this award.
You will be provided with all materials and supported by a Guidance Assessor who will provide support and mark each assessment. If you are completely new to this role, you might also find it beneficial to purchase an interactive 4 hour live session with our Master Trainer for £150+VAT, which would be scheduled to take place at the beginning of your study.
This Professional Award is 42 hours total qualification time and must be completed within six months of receiving the materials. It covers the following units:
- Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
- Planning inclusive assessment
- The practical application of assessment
All students who achieve a full Pass will receive a certificate from PD:Approval and have the opportunity to join PD:Verified, our recently launched international professional register for qualified tutors, assessors and internal quality assurers.
